THE GOAL...
The goal for this project will be a lightweight cross country race bike. I've been racing a Yeti ARC for the last year, but my 40 year old body needs some rear suspension and the Yeti AS-R, on closeout for $995, looked like the perfect choice.

To get this project started, I ordered a 2009 Yeti AS-R frame on closeout at JensonUSA.com for $995. That price is just insane...nearly HALF OFF!
