
Jamis played a big role in pioneering the 650b movement, which is clearly here to stay now that most fork, rim and tire makers are offering a plethora of 650b / 27.5" component choices.
For 2013, Jamis is offering their top-of-the-line Dakar XCT 650 Pro to meet this new demand for 650b bikes. The bike features a Kinesium alloy main triangle, asymmetrical chainstays with 12x142mm thru-axle dropouts, 130mm travel mp4 linkage design, 1.5 - 1 1/8" tapered head tube, cartridge bearing pivots, a Rock Shox Monarch RT3 High Volume shock, 10mm hardware, replaceable derailleur hanger, and Maxle rear axle. Up front they spec'd a Rock Shox Revelation 650B RCT3 fork w/ 3-position compression adjust (open/platform/lock), 15mm axle, tapered alloy steerer, external rebound adjust, and 130mm of travel. Components are mostly SRAM X0, with Crank Brothers stem, handlebars and seatpost. The bike rolls on American Classic 650B XC tubeless disc wheels with Schwalbe Racing Ralph 650B tires in 27.5 x 2.25 size.
