THE GOAL...
The goal for this project was a bike to ride on my backyard pump track. It also had to be something I could just mess around on whenever I felt the urge to practice manuals, wheelies, and stuff like that. As I've mentioned before on this site, I'm not a big fan of buying complete bikes since I like to build my own. I really went back and forth on whether I should purchase a high end frame like a Transition TOP or Black Market Mob, and then build a bike around the frame. The only problem with that is it can be a bit expensive.
I had already built a Kona Cowan, but for this "pump track" bike, I didn't want to spend a lot of money. After doing some research I discovered the Eastern Nighttrain complete. Eastern is one of the top BMX brands, and they have a couple 26" completes that are great right out of the box... just assemble it and ride! So, thats what I ended up buying...although I couldn't help but add a couple of my own mods eventually...
